Time Out says

Before it was the Anderson, this hip Upper East Side watering hole was Magnum Lounge, a beloved, no-frills restaurant and gay bar modeled in the spirit of classic New York piano bars (Magnum closed its doors in 2015 under new ownership). At the heart of the entertainment was Dr. Wayne, a piano man with all the style and none of the judgment, who welcomed duets with tipsy guests and never shied away from playing the hits. The Anderson resurrects Dr. Wayne’s old role with a new weekly on Sunday nights, and we really can’t think of a better way to cap off your week—or kick off a new one, depending on how late you keep the party going.
