Adam Cullen is a freelance translator of Estonian prose, poetry, and plays into English. Among other authors, he has translated novels by Tõnu Õnnepalu and Mihkel Mutt and poems by Jürgen Rooste, Veronika Kivisilla, and Asko Künnap. His translation of Õnnepalu’s Radio was nominated for the 2014 Cultural Endowment of Estonia’s Prize for Literary Translation from Estonian into a Foreign Language. He is a member of the Estonian Writers’ Union and on the board of its Translators’ Section. Originally from Minnesota, he has resided in Estonia for close to eight years.

Join us on February 13 to celebrate Adam's work. He'll be reading from his translations of Radio, by Tõnu Õnnepalu, and The Cavemen Chronicle, by Mihkel Mutt, in addition to selections of Estonian poetry. Books will be available for purchase.
