Valentine's Day is around the corner. Join us for a screening of Pas Son Genre, a romantic comedy directed by Belgian director Lucas Belvaux.

In this lively melodrama, Clément (Loïc Corbery), a young Parisian philosophy teacher, meets Jennifer (Emilie Dequenne), a charming hair­stylist, who becomes his lover during his long sojourn in Arras. Clément is governed by Kant and Proust, but Jennifer prefers magazines and karaoke nights with girlfriends. Find out if this mismatched love lasts at CinéClub on Friday February 12 at 7 pm. The film will be shown in French with English subtitles.

Pas Son Genrehas won multiple awards including Best Film at the 2014 Cabourg Film Festival and the 5th Magritte Award for Best Screenplay. Emilie Dequenne, playing Jennifer in the film, is best known for her debut film performance in the Palme d’Or­winning film Rosetta,which made her the Best Actress at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival. Loïc Corbery, playing Clément, is a theater director and actor, as wel as a sociétaire of La Comédie-Française. He was awarded Best Actor at the 2014 Cabourg Film Festival for his performance in Pas Son Genre.
