AFSCME 3800 says
Join us for this special labor movie night premier of Wisconsin Rising at the Bell Museum. Director Sam Mayfield will be on hand to discuss her film and the events along with a panel of folks who participated in the 2011 Wisconsin uprising and lead current fights against anti-union Right to Work legislation in Wisconsin.

The film documents “the dramatic story of how the people of Wisconsin occupied the State House and the streets when Republican Governor Scott Walker introduced legislation that stripped state employees of their right to collectively bargain in the workplace, undoing eight decades of basic workers' rights.” Scott Walker’s Wisconsin is once again in the news, this time for becoming the 25th right-to-work state.

Snacks and Beverages will be available during the film; Food shelf donations appreciated.

Ongoing labor movie events the 3rd Friday of every month. Check out the 2015 schedule here!
