Pack The Hearing Room: Sick Time Language

MN Neighborhoods Organizing for Change (NOC) says
After the City Council created a workgroup to develop sick time recommendations, the workgroup passed sick time recommendations 13-1, with support from every worker and business owner in the group--a clear compromise that works for all stakeholders.

But although the compromise package passed out of the task force 13-1, some people at City Hall are ignoring the democratic process of this group to focus on the voices of business lobbyists who are opposed to a sick time ordinance. Some at City Hall are even hoping to change the language from our proposal in significant ways.

We are calling on the City Council not to unravel our sick time compromise, and follow the recommendations from the Partnership Group. Join us to hold them accountable as they unveil the language Thursday morning.
