The Starfish Throwers says
Dear Friends of Casket Cinema,

For our April Casket we will show the award winning MN made film “the Starfish Throwers”. Called the “Most heartwarming film of 2014” by the Huffington Post and "The Best of the Hot Docs Film fest", filmmaker Jesse Roesler follows three people who have dedicated their life to prevent hunger. Roesler crosses the world to film chef Narayanan Krishnan as he feeds the poor in India, he documents Minneapolis man Alan Law as he moves his sandwich army across our homeless streets and goes south to film teenager Katie Stagliano as she grows her own vegetables to feed the poor. These three portraits in ‘“the Starfish Throwers” inspires us that we can all make a difference and we hope you can join us for this special evening of Minnesota film. Donations of $5-10 will be accepted to pay the filmmaker, admission will be free with a food item for donation to a local N.E Minneapolis Food Shelf.
