J. Karen Thomas Tribute And Benefit Concert says
A long time member of CSLN Music Ministry, J.Karen Thomas passed away on March 26th. After being diagnosed with the rare blood cancer, multiple myeloma in January 2015, she worked valiantly to heal her body. She and her family and friends prayed for a miracle. When her kidneys and liver failed, she gratefully surrendered to the end of this beautiful journey, and the miracle of going to a greater glory.

To know J.Karen, was to Love J.Karen. She inspired, uplifted and entertained hearts and souls worldwide. She graduated from Maplewood High School and Memphis University, and was a Y107 DJ back in the day.

“J.K” is lovingly remembered by her beloved life partner “wife” of 18 years, Colette Divine and their boydog Spirit; brothers, Dr. Frank E. (Andrea) Thomas, Jr., George B. Thomas; nephews, Frank E. Thomas III (Leslie) and daughter Grace, Corey E. and Cameron E. Thomas, and a host of Family, Friends & Fans. Reunited with parents Ethel B. and Frank Thomas, Sr. and boydog Yoshi.

The funds from the sale of tickets for this benefit and additional donations will be given to Colette Divine her wife and long term partner of 18 years. These funds will assist Colette with the funeral cost of J. Karen, loss of income and living expenses.
