City Winery Nashville says
Leigh Nash -- the shimmering, delicate voice behind pop hits "Kiss Me" and "There She Goes" with band Sixpence None The Richer -- delivers the record she's always wanted to make. Produced by GRAMMY-winning Brendan Benson, 'The State I'm In' (9.18) melds the influences of her Texas upbringing with Tennessee Country in what Rolling Stone Country hails as "an ode to lost romance and the everlasting relationship with home."

In support of this 12-track collection, Nash announces a 15-date Fall tour, taking her from her adopted hometown of Nashville to Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and throughout Texas in the coming months.

From breakup ballads and drinking songs to lushly orchestrated Americana tunes, Nash's show promises to blend her angelically-haunting voice with the "waltzing mariachi horns" (Rolling Stone Country) and "fun and fierce rock-country" (Paste) sounds of her forthcoming Austin/Tejano-inspired solo release.

"It isn't a throwback record," says Nash. "We weren't afraid of going beyond the Country genre with this project. I've been wanting to make this record since I was 14, but I needed the life experience to do it. This is my own version of the music I grew up on, and I'm excited to share these melodies and lyrics on tour."
