The event creator says
One of the UK’s leading and acclaimed Christian songwriters and musicians is coming to the Nashville. With extensive touring experience, Garth Hewitt has an incredible story to tell of his songwriting inspiration and personal journey of visiting areas of poverty, deprivation, and disaster. As a modern day troubadour, Garth has influenced global communities, leaders and other artists to record songs that bring together the issues of justice and faith, putting a human face to sensational global events.

There will be a $10 cover at the door.

For this one special evening, Garth will tell stories spanning forty years, from the places he has visited, to the communities and people that have inspired him. From spending time in South Africa with Desmond Tutu to visiting health clinics and fair trade centers run by communities in Nicaragua to seeing the work of peacemakers in Israel and Palestine, Garth has shared in some of the most pertinent issues in our world today.

Join us for a personal and intimate evening with Garth Hewitt at the Thistle Stop Cafe for his first concert in the US in 10 years.

Garth’s daughter Abi is a Nashville resident, working with local non-profit Thistle Farms’ global initiative Shared Trade. The passion for justice runs deep in the Hewitt family, and Garth is excited to continue collaborating with Thistle Farms.

Shared Trade and Thistle Farms products will be for sale throughout the night. Thistle Farms launched its global initiative called Shared Trade in October last year. Shared Trade is an e-commerce site bringing goods made by women survivors from 14 countries to the homes of people in America. Shared Trade offers women survivors a higher share of the profit for their handmade goods. Learn more at
