Tjbs Great Albums Concert Series says
Saturday, April 30 is the debut of a new series produced by the Tennessee Jazz & Blues Society.

The Great Albums Concert Series will present classic jazz and blues albums in their entirety, performed by top local artists.

The first concert will feature the classic 1961 Capitol Records release, “Nancy Wilson/Cannonball Adderley.” The recording teamed the Cannonball Adderley Quintet, by then established jazz stars, with a young singer who had just moved to New York from Ohio, Nancy Wilson. The project is considered by most critics and fans to be one of the classic jazz albums.

The concert will be headlined by vocalist Dara Tucker, saxophonist Rahsaan Barber, and trumpeter George Tidwell. It will be held at the Nashville Jazz Workshop in the Jazz Cave, located at 1319 Adam Street, Nashville, TN 37208 and is a BYOB/BYOF venue.

There will be two shows, 6 and 8:30 pm. Tickets for each show will be $20 for the general public, $15 for TJBS members, and $15 for high school and college students.

All seating will be reserved, and tickets will be available online:
