Friends of the Cabildo says
The Friends of the Cabildo present a one-night-only, behind the scenes viewing of the Hidden Treasures Jazz Exhibit at the Old U.S. Mint. Showcasing artifacts such as historic recordings, photographs, film, sheet music, manuscripts, instruments, and more, it celebrates the music and careers of beloved New Orleans jazz musicians of yesterday and today.

One of the largest and most comprehensive collections in the world, it includes such precious pieces as Louis Armstrong’s first cornet and a 1917 disc of the first jazz recording ever made.

Museum Historian Karen Leatham and Director of Exhibits Greg Lambousy will present special 6 pm and 7 pm showings. Tickets are limited. Call the FOC Office at (504) 523-3939.
