Additional Info:
Website:http://zydekool.com/homeThe Ardoin name is one of the most revered in Zydeco music. Sean's family is truly Zydeco royalty. The family's musical legacy started with the legendary Creole musician Amedee' Ardoin, the first Louisiana Cajun or Creole accordionist to record; followed by Bois Sec Ardoin, one of the best-known practitioners of the state's rural Creole sound for six decades. The Creole zydeco tradition was carried on by Sean's father, Lawrence "Black" Ardoin and the Ardoin Brothers, and the tradition has been passed on for generations in the Ardoin family from one accordion player to the next including Sean and his younger brother Chris Ardoin. After co-leading the critically-acclaimed Zydeco outfit Double Clutchin' with his younger brother Chris, Sean set out on his own musical journey in 1999.Sean Ardoin & Zydekool's hot brand of dancehall Zydeco has been a fan favorite since 1999. Sean has performed everywhere from Carnegie Hall and festivals in Europe to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and even a network television performance on BET's top-rated comedy showComic View. His music has also been featured in commercials and on MTV'sRoad Rules,Real World New Orleans,Fraternity LifeandSorority Life.Sean represents both the rural roots and progressive future of Louisiana's foot-stomping Creole-Zydeco sound like no other artist and he's truly one of Zydeco music's "triple threats." A rare combination of both tradition, talent and creativity, Sean continuously pushes the boundaries of the genre. He and his cousin Andre Thierry have recently started a new genre called, Alternative Creole, in order to be able to express their artistry without the confines of the traditional Zydeco idiom. He also works hard to keep the tradition alive with his preservation project, Creole United, carrying on his family's cultural legacy and their influence on American music. Seanfounded the Creole Hall of Fame and is in the process of setting up the first awards ceremony for the last quarter of 2016.Sean sees a bright future for his band and brand and is ready to bring the Zydekool experience to world!!!
