American Italian Cultural Center says
As a part of the American Italian Cultural Center’s bi-monthly lecture series, Elizabeth Parent from the Theatre Arts Department of Loyola University will describe the "Stock Characters" of Atellan Farce presented in Rome in 391 BC and the influence of these characters on Commedia dell'Arte in the Renaissance as well as comedy today. She will discuss the Romans' proclivity for comedy and how this genre influenced playwriting, acting and the architectural design of the Roman stage and theatre.

The lecture is free for AICC Members and students with a valid university or high school ID. For non-members, the suggested donation is $10.
