Join us at the UNO Gallery for Second Saturdays on St. Claude for an opening reception for two concurrent thesis exhibitions: “It’s Always Better with a Good DM” by David Colannino and "Happy Trails" by Lizze Agnes Derby.

Colannino's exhibition is a “multimedia journey through narrative and cartographical juvenile fantasy.”

Lizzie Agnes Derby’s show, “Happy Trails,” is a selection of her work that “uses the attractive and repulsive qualities of hair to explore identity and sexuality through camp and an obsession with material.” The two exhibits are comprised of sculpture, installation, print, painting, and drawing; Derby also includes video.

The gallery, located at 2429 St. Claude Ave., will host an opening reception on Saturday, April 9, from 6-9 p.m. The exhibition will run from April 9 – May 8, 2016. Regular gallery hours are Sat-Sun, 12-5 p.m. Please direct any inquiries to Kathy Rodriguez via email at klrodri2@uno.edu or call the gallery during open hours at 504.948.6939.
