Since its founding in 2003, the Trio has performed in more than 40 U.S. states and at music festivals around the world. The Poulenc Trio has a strong commitment to commissioning, performing and recording new works from living composers, with 20 new works written for and premiered by the group. The Trio has also made a commitment to explore and promote musics that reflect its members’ African, Pan-American, Eastern European and Jewish roots. While in New Orleans, the Trio will perform a master class for the NOLA ChamberFest competition for young players: 5 p.m. on March 8 at Loyola's Roussel Hall.
