July 30th: Strong Bones
Exercises that include weight bearing, muscle strengthening, and safe movement are proven to have bone-building benefits. Osteopenia and Osteoporosis are widespread, chronic health problems in Western society that affect more than half of everyone over the age of 50. This workshop will introduce a regimen of yoga and movements for preventing and combating these diseases that weaken bones and make us more susceptible to fractures and breaks.

October 1st: Healthy Joints
Joints connect bones and provide the human body with movement and support.
Arthritis occurs from damage, degeneration, or inflammation to a joint, and results in stiffness, pain, swelling and/or decrease in range of motion. It is the leading cause of disability in people over 55. This workshop will introduce a regimen of balanced exercise and restful poses to support the joints.

November 5th: Hip Function
Hip replacement is the most common orthopedic operation. This workshop is suitable for those with a hip replacement or those interested in movement-based therapies to prevent hip replacement. In this workshop, our regimen includes exercise to decrease pain, increase mobility, and strengthen the muscles around the hip joint.
