The Heart Attacks are a fiery soul/funk super group that incorporates diverse influences while still feeling wholly native to the close-knit Treme community, the New Orleans neighborhood where the band is based and where much of modern music was born. With funkified second line rhythms, electrifying brass firepower, and a driving percussion section filled out with hand drums and tambourines, they shake the dust off old soul standards, infuse their original compositions with “old-school R&B energy,” and force everyone to get up and dance.

RisingFoundations in partnership with Harmony Neighborhood Development is renovating the historic "Keller Mansion" in Central City to create a space for The First 72+ transitional housing and reentry program for people recently released from prison.

Located in Central City New Orleans, "The Keller Mansion" was built by Johann Heinrich Keller (JH Keller) just after he founded "Southern Soap Works Co." This 3 story Central Hall Raised Villa is just over 6500 sq' and was originally, and quite literally, the shack from which he started what would eventually be the largest soap company in the South.

RisingFoundations is renovating this historic home to create space for The First 72+ transitional housing and reentry program for people recently released from the Louisiana State Penitentiary Reentry and Workforce Development Program. During the renovation process RisingFoundations will operate a transitional jobs program to work on this site. Our goal is to create a pathway for participants to gain the education and experience necessary to either find employment with a partner company, or obtain their professional contracting/trade license while working together with other participants to set up a worker-owned construction company.

And we are looking to our supporters to help us make this happen!
