The New Movement - New Orleans says
Listen up! The kids have gotten control of The New Movement’s longest running comedy show. In a special early Saturday Megaphone Show, young comedians will share stories from their lives and an all-star improv cast will turn them into side-splitting scenes.

Our storyteller this month is 12-year-old Cannon, a 6th grader at Lycée Français de la Nouvelle Orléans. From a very young age, Cannon has wanted to be an actor, singer and entertainer. He has been in such productions as Aladdin, Horton Hears a Who, and Peter Pan. Currently, he is in his second year performing with the "PeliKids" which is an NBA hip-hop dance team with the New Orleans Pelicans. Cannon had the amazing opportunity to perform all throughout the NBA All-Star weekend just last week.
Cannon is also an avid athlete and enjoys football, basketball and soccer.

This programming is presented by Comedy Uprising, TNM’s diverse comedy education program for youth ages 11-18. Comedy Uprising offers Improv, Sketch Writing, Sketch to Film, and Stand-up Comedy workshops, as well as performance opportunities yearlong. We not only help young students discover and develop their own humor but also hone their listening skills, understand the importance of team work, and create in a safe, positive environment when they need it the most.

Tickets are $10 at the door. Students with valid school ID get in free.
