Uplift: Boston Fundraiser For Black Youth Leaders In Nola says
Rethink is an organization that is doing vital work to nurture the development of young black leaders in New Orleans.

In the past year they published an innovative report on the state of New Orleans 10 years after Katrina that combined youth-led research with poetry and photography; held a "Monsanto-Free Zone" food justice day of action; spoke on a panel hosted by NPR's Michel Martin, and reached over 150 young people in their schools and communities. The Rethinkers are smart and savvy: the next generation of powerful change-makers.

On Saturday, May 21st, we are hosting a Boston benefit at Make Shift Boston to raise $5,000 for Rethink.

Saturday, May 21st
6pm-9pm
2141 Dorchester Avenue

The Executive Director, Karen Marshall, will be in attendance. There will be live music, light refreshments and a crowd of like-minded folks who support Black-led organizing.

There is no cover charge to get in. We are hoping that everyone who attends will make a donation of at least $100, or become a monthly sustainer. For folks who donate, we have swag ranging from Rethink stickers to t-shirts, reports and our brand new Decolonizing Cookbook.

No tickets required. Reserve a spot or make a donation at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/uplift-a-boston-fundraiser-to-support-black-youth-leaders-in-new-orleans-tickets-24122279387
