Time Out says

Take a ferry boat ride into Governor’s Island every Thursday morning for kid-friendly activities on light arts and holograms. The Center for the Holographic Arts will host weekly indoor and outdoor projects that will teach kids about scientific investigation and art from the historic home of the HoloCenter on Governor’s Island. Afterward, set the kids and their scooters loose on the car-free island and set up an afternoon picnic on the lawn. The HoloCenter on Governors Island, Post Commander Quarters – 403 Colonels Row (403 Comfort Rd in maps), ages 3–9.
