This bi-level eatery swarms with Met-goers lunching on a sort of Italian bento box: two savory items (think butternut-squash soup and tuna sandwich) and a sweet such as tiramisu. Straightforward Margherita pizzas and homemade gnocchi keep children sated, but there's a good chance they'll also be looking forward to the postmeal "make-your-own sundae" off the kids' menu. If your crew's exhausted by a trip to the Met, walk east to mini chain Dos Toros, an ode to the West Coast taqueria, and relax over a carnitas burrito or carne asada tacos.
