The flowers are in full bloom so why not take the kiddos uptown to see the gardens of the Met Cloisters Museum in all its glory? The annual event features a slew of activities that focus on the plants growing in the Met’s northern branch. “Plants at Work” will be the theme for this year’s tours, demos and talks about how herbs were used as medicine during the Middle Ages. Kids 4–12 will learn, touch and smell exotic spice plants like pepper and turmeric, household helps like lavender and lemon balm and cooking herbs like fennel and lovage. Ages 4–12.
