BookCon Family HQ

If you’re heading to BookCon with the kids, walk on over to the back of the show floor (booth #1416) for a Family HQ with workshops and activities. Create custom Boxcar Children buttons and bookmarks in honor of the series’ 75th anniversary (June 3 2pm-3pm, June 4 10:30am-11:30pm). The Scholastic RV will bring author signings, costume character appearances and other family-friendly fun. You’ll also want to check out other programs for kids taking place during BookCon, including a discussion with Jeff Kinney about his wildly popular Diary of a Wimpy Kid (June 3 12:45pm-1:45pm), Bill Nye (the Science Guy!) chatting with his new fiction series tailored to middle-grade readers (June 4 11am-12pm) and Captain Underpants author Dav Pilkey will present an exclusive clip from the first film adapted from his series, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie” (June 4 3pm-4pm).
