Wave Hill will be buzzing with happy kiddos as the public garden celebrates nature’s pollinators with a weekend of un-bee-lievable activities. Family art project Be a Bee will turn visitors into a giant bee with wings, antennae, a pollen cup and kazoo to hum as they venture around a cardboard hive and field of flowers. Join in on the bee parade at 12:30pm to celebrate with the other hard workers. Taste delicious honey from honey farmers HoneyGramz and Bees Knees honey from Bushwick Kitchen (be sure to buy a jar to take back home!), chat with experts about beekeeping and watch demos on how honey is extracted from its comb. Families can also participate in a workshop to make their own candles out of beeswax. All ages.
