This group show of more than three dozen artists offers an intriguing mix of insider and outsider, presenting, for instance, quilts by the famed women of Gee's Bend, AL, and paintings by old weird Americana musician extraordinaire John Fahey, alongside works by Michele Abeles, Martin Kippenberger and R.H. Quaytman. Figuring out why, of course, is part of the fun.
