In its first show devoted to fashion in more than two decades, the Whitney presents a three-part installation by the design team of Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta. Known for their use of unusual fabrics, textures and silhouettes, the pair also routinely detours into video and performance art. Here, they examine the fashion industry’s intersection of commerce and voyeurism with a suite of photos of glossy magazine spreads, a fully functional shop selling their clothing line and a black-and-white video projection of surveillance footage in and around various retail establishments.
