The social and political undercurrents of anthropomorphization (giving animals human attributes) and its opposite, zoomorphization (giving humans animal attributes) inform this whimsical installation by Austrian artist Gabriele Edlbaue. In it, Edlbaue creates a pop-inflected, fantastical allegory of male bonding with a pair of dad-bod figures topped with sheep-like heads, standing next to a cartoon mural depicting a fishing trip by similarly chimeric characters (including baseball mascot, Mr. Met).
