"We Went Back: Photographs from Europe 1933–1956 by Chim"

This show surveys the work of Chim (1911–1956), born Dawid Szymin in Poland, one of the leading photojournalists of the interwar and postwar periods. A colleague and close personal friend of both Robert Capa and Henri Cartier-Bresson, Chim—who later published his work under the name David Seymour—is especially remembered for his coverage of the Spanish Civil War and the birth of Israel.
