Celebrating the City Symphony

Filmmakers Marylou Tibaldo-Bongiorno and Jerome Bongiorno will screen two of their recent films, along with "Manhatta" (1921), the avant-garde short that inspired the works. While the original captures the environs of industrial Manhattan in abstract glory, these new takes, filmed in 3-D, focus on Newark and the Brooklyn waterfront. A panel discussion on the classic short's enduring influence will follow.
