El Simposio: Nueva York

At this daylong symposium, attend lectures on the history of New York’s Spanish-language movie theaters (there were three in the 1930s), and learn about the historic relationship between the Americas and the Caribbean. The event is held in conjunction with the exhibit “Nueva York: 1613–1945,” which traces the development of NYC’s Latino community.
