Time Out says

During the course of construction on the South Ferry subway station, which reopened in 2009, the MTA unearthed a treasure trove of artifacts from the 17th and 18th centuries, including pieces of the Battery Wall and Whitehall Slip. In this exhibit, photos and portions of those landmarks will be on view, along with more than 100 other items from the site in lower Manhattan.
