Author Hisham Matar (In the Country of Men) has spent his life between many worlds: He was born in New York to Libyan parents, was later exiled from Tripoli to Cairo and currently lives in London. The recent ousting of Gadhafi brings new resonance to Anatomy of a Disappearance, the story of a son unable to find his dissident father—something that also happened to Matar.
