A bona fide sensation in Europe, German composer Enno Poppe has yet to establish widespread stateside renown—but with advocates like the Miller Theatre, the JACK Quartet and piano/percussion foursome Yarn/Wire, it's only a matter of time. The program includes three fascinating works by Poppe: Rad, a hypnotic microtonal-keyboard duet; Schweiss, a slowly unfurling duo; and Tier, a fidgety string quartet. Completing the program is Tonband, a quartet for synthesizers and percussion jointly composed with Wolfgang Heiniger.
