Great Music in a Great Space

Conductor Kent Tritle opens the third season of his celebrated choral series at St. John the Divine with "All Creatures Great and Small," an animal-themed program meant to serve as a thematic prelude to the church's annual St. Francis Day Blessing of the Animals (on Oct 6). Included is a menagerie of birds and lambs, mostly, as evoked by Gibbons, Banchieri, Janequin, John Tavener, Eric Whitacre and others.
