A sterling violist, radio host and worthy inspiration to a range of contemporary composers, Nadia Sirota drops by the underground venue SubCulture for two nights. On May13, she teams up with composer-pianist Missy Mazzoli to play selections from Sirota's 2013 album, Baroque, as well as new duo arrangements of Mazzoli's works. On May 14, the violist and to-be-announced guests will play music by Daniel Bjarnason, Paul Corley and Valgeir Sigurdsson—in addition to world premieres from Aaron Roche and Alexander Overington.
