Dusty-fingered record freaks Mr. Robinson and DJ Honky are finally back with another edition of their shindig devoted to vintage funk and soul. The pair has secured the services of Renaldo Domino, the voice of 1971's wondrous "Not Too Cool to Cry," among other indelible tunes. On a sadder (though no less funky) note, the night also pays tribute to the recently deceased Soul Sister No. 1, Marva Whitney, who performed what turned out to be her very last show at Dig Deeper in late 2010; the Brooklyn Rhythm Band and an array of guest vocalists will be opening the night with a performance of her hits.
