Cementing Williamsburg's status as New York's new clubland paradise, the long-awaited Verboten boîte is set to open its doors this Friday, March 14. Located at 60 North 11th Street between Kent and Wythe Aves, the 10,000-square-foot former metal shop offers a fixed home for the party-tossing gang that's been providing the best shindigs in NYC's late-night landscape for the past decade. The space has two rooms (including a restaurant expected to open this summer) with a total capacity of 750 revelers, and features a top-notch Martin Audio sound system and panoramic video wall.
The Trouble & Bass, Bespoke Musik and Push the Night posses—plus boldfaced-name DJs like Guy Gerber, Carl Craig and Matthew Dear—have already signed on as residents, and the fun kicks off with Rebel Rave this weekend. Read our interview with the man who's helping break the club in, Crosstown Rebels' Damian Lazarus.
