This year, Black Women in Comedy's Laff Fest is expanding its reach beyond Brooklyn to include seveal iconic venues across Manhattan like Don’t Tell Mama’s, St. Marks Comedy Club, Young Ethel’s, Luv Story, The Cobra Club and more.
One thing that hasn't changed, though, is that you can expect to laugh out loud at this highly anticipated festival. Running from June 14 to 18, this annual festival shines a spotlight on the immense talent and resilience of Black women in comedy. Event organizers say this year’s festival is an affirmation of intersectionality and unity, as it coincides with Juneteenth.
Performers include Mugga Phoenix, Ashima Franklin, Toni Byrd, Glo Butler, Ayana Dookie and many more. Tickets cost $20/show.
