In her new piece at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Taisha Paggett transforms the lobby gallery into a mystical place

Walk toward the elevator banks at the Whitney Museum of American Art and turn left: Here, in the lobby gallery, resides the visual artist and choreographer Taisha Paggett, whose performance installation Underwaters (we is ready, we is ready) will continue through Sunday during museum hours. Part of the 2014 Biennial, the work features Paggett moving through a movement score that transforms her into four different personas. Viewers are invited into the space with her. Soak it up: The longer you stay, the better it gets.
