Born Into Brothels

An arresting study of the ill-fated children of Calcutta’s red-light district, this documentary steers clear of easy sentimentality by arming the kids with still-photography cameras and allowing them to present their own world, artistically and often heroically. Codirector Ross Kauffman will attend this screening, the latest in IFC's ongoing "Stranger than Fiction" series.
