On June 7 and 8, Madison Square Park will be gloriously perfumed with barbecue, thanks to 17 of the country’s top ’cue experts, who will be serving regional specialties and hosting cooking demos at the 12th annual Big Apple Barbecue Block Party. A hearty helping of Empire State pit masters will be on hand, including regulars like Hill Country’s Charles Grund Jr. and John Stage of Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, as well as event newbies like Brooklyn’s Daniel Delaney (BrisketTown) and Billy Durney (Hometown Bar-B-Que).

Serious BBQ buffs can jump into the express line with a FastPass, loaded with $100 to spend on meat, sides and drinks, or splurge on the BigPiggin’ VIP pass, which, along with the $100 credit, grants you access to lounge seating, catered Southern fare and more.
