Local funnyman John Early is ready to charm your pants off (video)

The actor-comedian-filmmaker continues his steady rise with a show at Union Hall tomorrow night. Check out his moves in this Showgirls-inspired preview.

Mention John Early to a few savvy friends and you're likely to get an "I love him!" from at least one of them. The actor-comedian oversees the monthly variety show Showgasm at Ars Nova (where he's an artist in residence), and regularly pops up at comedy nights around town—including the free weekly Crime & Punishment at Cake Shop, which he cohosts with Kate Berlant. He also stole scenes as one of Jenna's hilariously cruel egg-donor offspring on 30 Rock.

This Friday, he comes to Park Slope's Union Hall with his solo show Literally Me. For a preview of what you're in for, check out the video below in which he seamlessly channels Nomi Malone in a key scene from the trash classic Showgirls.
