Tackling Harper Lee's novel, Stanley Kramer would have hit us over the head with a hammer, so perhaps we can be grateful that Mulligan merely suffocates with righteousness. The film sits somewhere between the bogus virtue of Kramer's The Defiant O...

I LOVE this place. They're always having interesting screenings and quirky (sorry) events like the weekly Twin Peaks bingo. One of the more memorable events I attended here was a Are You Afraid of the Dark party with a drink-along game. Super fun! They also have flavored popcorn which is always a plus (the citrus one is my fave.) Tip: attend a ticketed event if you for sure want to get in. 100% free ones easily get impossible to get into!

Videology is one of the most fun and on-theme bars in the city. They air your favorite shows every week, offer movie trivia and TV show bingo, host fun themed parties like Gossip Girl night, and serve you booze and food too! My only complaint is how crowded it's gotten lately—the gillies at Gilmore Girls trivia almost crushed me—but you can generally find a seat right away. You can also rent DVDs which is amazing for those nights you're aching for Blockbuster. Now they've got flavored popcorn and bites from El Gato Nacho, one of my favorite vendors from Smorgasburg. Check out their calendar and I guarantee you'll find an upcoming movie that will pique your interest.
