Roosevelt Live

Roosevelt Island is the odd little land mass in the East River whose onetime residents include Grandpa Munster and Sarah Jessica Parker, and now it also has its own outdoor series, with free shows from NYC bands and performers taking place on the lawn at Riverwalk Commons. It's easier to get to than you think, making for a nice alternative to often-overcrowded summer fests in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
