New Zealand's Andrew Keoghan strikes an engaging midpoint between folk and pop, as on last year's debut album, Arctic Tales Divide. Expect plenty of plucked violin strings, nimble instrumentation and pretty melodies which should find favor with fans of fellow Kiwi Lawrence Arabia. Speaking of which, Lips, a.k.a. Stephanie Brown, also hails from Down Under and creates intimate and atmospheric synth-fangled pop (think Danish singer Oh Land).
