Bobby Hutcherson Quintet

Back in the ’60s, when West Coast vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson lived in New York, he was the go-to guy on several Blue Note classics by, among others, Andrew Hill and Grachan Moncur III. Hutcherson’s mellowed since then, but his latest record, For Sentimental Reasons (Kind of Blue), suggests that there’s still a little fire in his belly.
