Bushwick Book Club: Flatscreen

A bit more proactive than your average book club, this excellent monthly event asks songwriters to read a book and then pen a few original songs about the work for a concert. Tonight’s participants will be riffing on Brooklynite Adam Wilson's new novel, Flatscreen—and performers include Sweet Soubrette, Joe Crow Ryan and Susan Hwang of the Debutante Hour. There will be a talk from the author, plus amusingly themed snackage on hand as well. Really, what more could you ask for? Free entry? Done.
