Industrial provocateur JG Thirlwell, of Foetus renown, scratches his compositional itch with Manorexia, a tightly wound string group with which he creates excellent noirish tracks for imaginary films. Sharing the bill, the Calder Quartet—a quartet of repute in classical circles, but one that has also worked with Andrew W.K.—collaborates with Boys Like Us, a side project from Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij.
