Over the past two decades, Swedish metal band Katatonia has transformed from a rough-edged doom trio to a proggy five-piece prone to sweeping melancholy, ruminative tenderness and epic grandeur. Tonight the group gigs behind Dethroned and Uncrowned, a mellowed recasting of material from 2012's sophisticated Dead End Kings. Also on board are Sweden's Cult of Luna, who ply Isis-esque art doom, as heard on the recent Vertikal and a follow-up EP, Vertikal II.
