Frontman Dean Wareham resurrected Boston-based Luna in 2015—the band formed after the 1991 breakup of his seminal dreampop outfit Galaxie 500—for its first proper tour in nearly a decade. Even after all the time apart, the crew remained as well-oiled as ever, gliding through its intricate guitar lines, wistful haze and breezy rhythms with a honeyed fervor. The band booked a few shows in 2016 and played 1995 LP Penthouse in full. Honoring tradtion, the quartet plans to do this again three years later at Bowery Ballroom on October 19. For an added spin, the group plays Bewitched in full the following night.
